- rotec Hülsensysteme GmbH &. Co. KG was founded in 1990 with headquarters in Ahaus (Germany)
- since 1990 rotec has made numerous innovations instrumental in sleeve technology's global breakthrough
- in 1995 rotec established a second facility in Chrastava (Czechia)
- in 1999 rotec became part of Day International, Inc. (USA)
- since 2000 production facilities have been added in Asheville, NC (USA) and in Curitiba (Brazil)
- in 2007 Day International became a business unit of Flint Group
- in March 2008 rotec and Flint Group Printing Plates became the new division Flint Group Flexographic Products
